Hot off the presses! The Smithtown Hunt will be having a Spring Hunter Pace @ SUNY @ Old Westbury on Sunday, May 26, 2013! Attached is the pace flyer, entry form and rider release form. The course has been designed by our PACE EXTROADINAIRE, Mr. John Rooney! It has been a long while since we had a pace…come on out and stretch your legs J. All riding disciplines are welcome. Teams may comprise of English, Western, Adult or Child riders. Any combination works! You just need to pick the division you would like to compete in. There are two divisions: Hunt (more of a rolling, quicker pace, akin to following a pack of hounds) and Hilltopper ( a slower, more refined ride for those riders who are in earshot of the hounds but not right up with them!). All fences have easy go arounds. The fee is $45 for each rider; children 12 and under, $20. Bring your tailgate lunch and water for your trusty steeds. Start times: 9:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Ribbons awarded 1st through 6th in each division. You may pre-enter by completing the entry form attached. Please include your check made out to the Smithtown Hunt, Inc. The entry must be accompanied by a signed release form, also attached. OR You may call me at 631.563.0187 for a start time. Please leave your name, telephone number, number of persons on your team and desired time you would like to start. If there is a question or time conflict, I will call you back. If you need some questions answered, please do not hesitate to call me. We are very excited about bringing back our hunter paces after the devastation caused by SANDY.
